Well, the taxes are relatively inexpensive…
… and you can take four hours of conference calls from your office upstairs, or your living room in front of the fire, or from the north porch as the sun romps with the clouds over the mountains at sunset…
… and the local wildlife gets jiggy wid da snow.
Or, when the wind picks up and your butt gets sore from sitting through four hours of conference calls, you can switch to the south porch…
… and the sun starts futzing with your hair instead of the clouds and mountains.
I’m on the phone here via earphones and a blackberry, talking to some very smart women, trying to figure out how to market the company we work for.
And then once you hang up on the call, someone starts hollering, “Hey, come back around this side and check this out!”
Everything finds a place of calm and correctness and collected-at-the-end-of-the-day-ness…
… and then it goes decidedly un-corporate.
That’s why.
OMG – what a BEAUTIFUL place! Now I understand the 14-15 hr road trips. Totally worth it! BTW – I think we need an off-site at some point. Happy Friday!
How cool that you commented here, Sabina! I was on the phone with you when Rick took that shot.
Thanks for sharing the pictures. Was having “one of those days”, but was so grateful that we live in such a beautiful country and overwhelmed with the idea that opportunities for beauty really do lie “just around the corner.” Thank You So Much! – m
Melinda, so glad this helped someone out of one of those days! And yup… beauty is EVERYWHERE.
OMGosh, didn’t realize you had all that snow already! Glad you’re enjoying your little piece of heaven!
Montana (sigh) — same deal. Still in California, but counting the days. . . : D
Hurry on out, country neighbor!
Been there…need to go back…love you guys…beautiful.
Come back!!
Beautifully scenery there. You sure you didn’t paint some of those Rick? They’re beautiful! 😀 I wonder what Winston thinks of snowballs being thrown around near him. I’ve seen dogs pounce on one when they find where it landed, or actually catch one on the rare occasion. Makes for a cold mouth.
Hey San,
Winnie loves to play fetch with his big red tennis ball in the snow. He especially loves the “digging like a badger” part of the game!
I can think of only two words. Hella jealous.
There’s a cure for that… come visit!
Oh … don’t you just love it when life runs together in a more colorful way. I think this is how it’s meant to be … unified, not compartmentalized. And happy.
Mr. Four-Paws looks like he got his mug shaved!?
Mr. FP did indeed get muzzle slicked. Turns out he’s a bona fide poodle after all!
And yup… well said. “… unified, not compartmentalized. And happy…” is exactly how it’s meant to be.
Got a guest room?
Yes… come visit!
